AARP Hearing Solutions has four prescription device levels to choose from: two Value options and two Brand options. Here’s what to know.
Value options: High quality on a budget
Value option devices offer a great mix of high technology and affordability. They include Relate®, UnitedHealthcare Hearing’s own private-label brand. “The Relate device is an incredible hearing aid,” says Eric Reams, a board-certified hearing aid dispenser and consultant with UnitedHealthcare Hearing.
The Value option is an especially good path if you’re on a budget. There are hearing aids within your price range, and the quality is top notch.
Value option 1: Gold

Brand options: Latest technology
Already know you want high-tech hearing aids from a leading brand? Then Brand option devices could be right for you. “For example, there are tons of members out there who are looking to get their second, third or fourth set of hearing aids and want an upgrade,” says Reams.
Or perhaps you regularly have dinner out with friends or spend time in a loud, busy workplace. In noisy situations like these, you may want devices with more advanced features.
With the Standard or Premium level, you get access to devices from nationally known brands: Beltone, Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, Signia, Starkey and Widex.
